OBJECTS OF THE INSTITUTION

The principle object of the institution is to promote the interests of all its members to attain their social and economic betterment through self-help and mutual aid in accordance with the cooperative principles.

To act as agent for the joint purchase of the domestic and other requirements of its members.

To encourage Thrift, Self-help and cooperation among the members in accordance with the cooperative principles.

To borrow funds from members or other to be utilized for loans to members for useful purposes.

FUNCTIONS OF THE INSTITUTION

In furtherance of its objective either by itself or in collaboration with othercooperative financial, development organization, Cooperative bodies, any other organizations, the institution shall;

a) Encourage and afford all facilities for cultivating the habit of savings and thrift among the members.
b) Receive all types of short, medium and long term deposits and in particular thrift, fixed and other deposits from members.
c) Lend, advance, grant short term, medium term and long term loans, and other types of loans for consumption, productive, asset acquisition and other purposes to members.
d) Formulate and implement such relief, benevolent, mutual aid and welfare schemes for the economic and social betterment of the present members and their families.
e) Hold necessary infrastructure / programme to provide all required services for providing or enhancement or livelihood, employment productivity and income, and for improving the quality of life especially in health, shelter and education of members and their families.
f) Enter into arrangement with any government, state, municipal or local or any other authority or with any local, national, international, development agencies and to obtain any advantage for the institution or its members.
g) Invest its resources including surplus funds in shares, deposits and securities and movable and immovable properties in non-speculative manner for the advantage of the institution and furtherance of its objectives.
h) Promote subsidiary or new organizations either its own or in collaborations with the cooperative financial and development organizations in financial and technical terms, if necessary
i) Undertake any other activity which is incidental and essential for attainment of its objectives local, national, international, development agencies and to obtain any advantage for the institution or its members
j) Invest its resources including surplus funds in shares, deposits and securities and movable and immovable properties in non-speculative manner for the advantage of the institution and furtherance of its objectives;
k) Undertake any activity and provide necessary service for the welfare of its employees and, Undertake any other activity which is incidental and essential for attainment of its objectives.
